The stirrup shape mimics the form of traditional equestrian stirrups, with a rounded, gently curved bottom, creating a graceful silhouette. The hoops are medium-sized, 1" long and .75" wide, making them versatile enough to be worn for both casual outings and more formal occasions. The surface of the earrings features a hand-stamped design that adds depth and interest. They hang gracefully from secure, comfortable French hooks, perfect for anyone who appreciates a unique twist on a classic hoop design. These are available in sterling silver or bronze.
Fun Fact: These earrings were inspired by bronc riding champion Fannie Sperry Steele. Fannie became known for refusing to use a hobbled stirrup — the device that essentially locked a rider's feet in place and made staying on a bucking bronc significantly easier and safer. She insisted on riding with free stirrups, riding "slick", the same way the men competed, which was considered far more difficult and dangerous. She won the Ladies' Bucking Horse Championship at the 1912 Calgary Stampede riding slick, and it was a point of fierce personal pride — she felt hobbled stirrups were a cheat and she wanted no part of them.

Sterling Silver Care:
Sterling silver will naturally tarnish over time—that's just chemistry, not a flaw! Here's how to keep it shining:
- Store in a cool, dry place (airtight bags help prevent tarnish)
- Polish with a soft cloth or use a silver polishing cloth
- Avoid wearing in chlorine, saltwater, or while using harsh chemicals
- Remove before showering or exercising

If, over time, your silver jewelry becomes tarnished, use a soft, non-abrasive polishing cloth specifically designed for silver to clean it. These cloths often contain special polishing agents that help remove tarnish. Gently rub the silver jewelry with the cloth. Focus on tarnished areas, applying a bit more pressure if needed, but avoid excessive force to prevent scratching. Store your silver jewelry in a cool, dry place, preferably in an anti-tarnish pouch or cloth to help prevent future tarnishing.
Turquoise & Gemstone care
Turquoise and most gemstones are more delicate than metal.
Avoid exposing them to chemicals, or dropping them onto hard surfaces. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. With proper care, they'll last lifetimes.
