Her clever animal friends can't understand it — how can she possibly be BORED when so much wonder is happening right under her nose? Determined to help, they invite her to join them on a search through the charming mountain town of Gold Hill in pursuit of the one thing she's missing. What she discovers along the way is a lesson more valuable than gold — and one that just might change the way young readers see their own world too.
Fun Fact: This book was written by me, Amy Fortunato. Horsing Around In The Town Of Gold Hill was born during the pandemic, when the world went quiet. It hands children back the very things the attention economy needs them to lose: the ability to slow down, use all their senses, and find their place in the world. Because if you don't have the freedom to accurately perceive the world around you, you can't accurately orient yourself within it. It has 32 pages with beautiful watercolor illustrations by Sid Meireles. And it rhymes.

Turquoise and most gemstones are more delicate than metal.
Avoid exposing them to chemicals, or dropping them onto hard surfaces. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. With proper care, they'll last lifetimes.
